Herein may the Bumlings discuss computer games. Any who refer to them as video games will be banned and their posts will be deleted.

So what games are you playing? What games are you excited to play? What are your all time favourites? We want to know!

 No.107

I'm currently playing Stardew Valley. It's a good game where you have to farm and mine whilst making relationships work along the way. I've been getting into the fishing at the moment.

The good thing about all these Indy games that are out is the amount of pixel art games. I know the BumBum King himself really enjoys Terraria on the regular (or at least he did, there is a post about it on the MLP general).

 No.109

>>108

You're right I love Terraria. It gets a bit tedious after a while without an inventory editor though.

Another game I really enjoy is Deadbolt. You play as death and you have to assassinate all of the Vampires who are dealing in ashes (cocaine). It has other creatures too like zombies and skeletons. I wish they would make a more fleshed out sequel. It's a good example of how 2d pixel games can be better than most 3d games.

I'm hoping to try out Hyperlight Drifter too one day.

 No.284

Anyone here played Oblivion lately?

I hear of these strange beings called "wheelie bins" who profess local principles of governance. Would it be wise to unite with them to create a giant wheelie bin mech?

Introducing the bin mech. Designed for close combat in local lands. It is armed with fully automatic machine guns and can fly almost into space itself.

Yes. He has so often entreatied the Germanics for their support. The relationship between the BBK and the Germans/Austrians has mostly been a positive one. This song was composed in his Majesty's honour.

Herein contained is discussion and speculation concerning the Eurovision Song Contest. The BumBum Kingdom does not have an entry due to the embargo placed by the cultural marxist states upon the realm which exclude it from competing. Yet as a signifier of our good will we will permit our subjects to view the contest here.

I'm catching Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks will post review when finished.

 No.77

I bet that Sunset Shimmer will be the key to all of this.

 No.78

So basically the plot is that there are these three lasses called the Sirens who feed of bad energy between friends to get a better voice which gives them more power. The mane six come back together with Sunset Shimmer as the seventh wheel who is still distrusted by the whole of Canterlot High.

So the mane six challenge the sirens at the battle of the bands. It all goes wrong however! Meanwhile Sunset Sparkle is not involved in the band and tries to fix the discord is fixed between the mane six who are starting to fall out. So they all start to prepare for the second round. Sunset Shimmer is onto the tricks of the bully sirens and they begin to bully her because nobody wants to be her friend.

The second round ends with all the school falling out trying to prove their personal superiority and feeding the sirens' powers. This continues as the rounds progress and Sunset Shimmer is visibly upset that Twilight Sparkle cannot find a counter spell to beat the sirens.

It becomes clear that if the Rainbooms are to win the battle of the bands then they need to include Sunset Shimmer. They do not realise this however. Indeed she tries to stop Rainbow Dash from showing her magic but alienates everyone who now believes Sunset Shimmer is a jealous beast who has reverted to her own ways. Yet the mane six still go through because of the bully sirens enchantment over the principles. The sirens must defeat the mane six to top off their power.

The sirens then trick Trixie into trying to hinder the Rainbooms so that they alone may win without even having to face the mane six and sew yet more discord. The mane six get locked under the stage by Trixie and fall out while she performs her set. All their magic then goes to the Sirens who begin their performance.

Sunset Shimmer helps fix their problems and Twilight realises what must be done. They must play together as friends! Then they interrupt the bullies' set and transform into the 'EQUESTRIA GIRLS! They battle one another through music. It gets really intense but the Rainbooms manage to win with the help of Sunset Shimmer who sings her song and they all rally together. EvePost too long. Also there is an aftercredits scene where the Canterlot High version of Twilight Sparkle picks up scientific readings and says "no doubt about it Spike there's definitely something strange going on at that school". Probably a lead up to one of the other movies ;)

I shall answer on mine own behalf:

1). Edmund Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France

2). A government based on revolution which does not take care to guard against revolution and create a stable system of governance is inherently destined to destruction. In the United Kingdom the system of heredity insures against such calamity through the enforcement of solidity in government and a division of powers suitable for the governance of such a proud people. I quote: "Always acting as if in the presence of canonised forefathers, the spirit of freedom, leading in itself to misrule and excess is tempered with an awful gravity"

3). It is in it's own fashion a form of epistolary yet one would be more inclined to determine it a political manifesto expounded the virtues of a constitutional monarchy.

4). I would recommend it to all regardless of thine interests.

I've been reading the Tibetan book of the dead lately. It's pretty cool and interesting. It gives a lot of advice on meditation in preparation for death and even how to predict how thou will die. My edition is shiny and red too. I'm not sure I believe any of it I must admit but I would recommend it for an insight into Tibetan and Buddhist culture.

Turn off thine mind relax and float down stream. It is not dying.

 No.75

I hath begun my reading of the Quran. I have just completed my reading of the first Sura (The Haifa) and have at once found it to be a disgusting tome which advises its practitioners to kill and even lays out a timetable for when a Moslem may best commit such an act. The Sura even ends with an appeal to Allah that they may have victory over their enemies (including Jews and Christians). I will update once I have completed a few more Suwar.

1). Vergil's Eclogues

2). A series of Bucolic poems addressing the issues of land confiscations and the power of poetry to change the world. Written at a time of great upheaval in Roman civilisation during the 30s and 40s BC it is a work wrought with duplicity and guile.

3). It is a pastoral Bucolic with much more generic unity than those of Theocritus or even Cattullus.

4). I would most certainly recommend them to anybody interested in the politics of the pre-Imperial Roman Empire or the silver age poets.

 No.85

He was also influenced by a contemporary of Theocritus called Callimachus. Callimachus brought in a revolutionary referencing system to the Alexandrian library which stored vast amounts of Greek literature in order to support the Hellenic cultural values of the Ptolemaic dynasty in Egypt. Ptolemy II Philadelphus is no match for dear Ptolemy I Soter but one can't help but admire him for his patronage of art and philosophy.
