How could I create a script that moves files you've downloaded from directory to destination. So that the script should take two arguments: from and to. The categories could be files with the following characters as the file name's first letters (case insensitive): A to F, G to L, M to R, S to Z. and "-" for the rest. Each of these categories should be represented as a directory in the destination and creation of these directories should be done interactively (Hint: command "read"). However, I need to ask for creation of these subdirectories only if the destination directory itself exists. If it doesn't exists, create an error report and exit prematurely. Also I need to check the existence of the "from" directory and the number of arguments.

Hey /tech/

Im looking for a wi-fi extender/router/hotspot that can spoof its MAC Address to connect to a network, and my devices which cant be spoofed connect to that instead.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

 No.238

Would be good to look at devices which don't require proprietary firmware, they are likely the most compatible... However I've never seen a network card that couldn't spoof it's MAC address. Are you sure you don't already have what you need Anon?

Fucking this. OP, check whether your router is supported by OpenWRT. If not, get one that is.

 No.250

You could always setup a linux based VRouter, then user macchanger.

Cyberpunk died when people started fetishizing dystopia. People do understand that cyberpunk is supposed to be a resistance movement, right? Now people are basically welcoming economic disparity and invasive surveillance with open arms. It's fucked.

install Gentoo

 No.194

Just download a firmware and flash it, dumb fuck.

 No.198

Look up the key/button combination to boot from SD card. Have the ROM on there etc. There are guides all over the net.

 No.240

TWRP is actually pretty easy to use, if you have removable storage, connect it to a computer and put a ROM for moto x 2014 on it, make sure the ROM supports your specific variant. Then simply wipe the phone of whatever traces there was of the old OS and flash the new one, you might need Gapps to get google play etc. The process is very easy and there should be guides available. Just query how to flash a ROM and Gapps with TWRP.

What you should really do is install Arch. Best Linux OS out there. (No sarcasm.)

In all actuality, start with Linux mint and install it on a virtual machine. Do that and you'll get a decent idea of how to run computers like real tech people do.

After that, test other OSes. Pick one you like and install it on your laptop.

Then look up how to use tools like nmap and metasploit. Get some information security certs and your good to go.

 No.239

>>209

Agree with 209 here, Gentoo is definitely not something to start on and agree that Arch is probably one of the best distros. Linux Mint is often said to be one of the least secure distros however so I wouldn't start there. The package manager has 3 settings which decide how many updates you should recieve, it claims this keeps your computer safer and stabler, but in actuality it doesn't automatically and by default update the kernal frequently enough and you can easily get left vulnerable for years. Please don't us Mint Anon/Mr.Coffee, use Debian. Linux mint is based on Ubuntu which is based on Debian. Just go straight to the root and you'll be happiest there. But remember! You have all the power in the world thanks to libre software, you can run whatever distro or software you want, or even make it more secure if you know how. Good luck Anon!

There's actually a linux f.lux.

I have yet to try Redshift, I might try it out sometime later. F.lux seems to be working fine enough.
