I use most of my time on planning for the coming age of emergency, trying to figure out what are the long-term needs of the proletariat all things considered. What capabilities it must develop in order to survive through it. That would include everything from construction techniques to energy generation methods, military technology, space habitat technology, artificial climate dome construction methods and methods of cultivating relatively effective medicinal compounds by the means of harvesting various scientifically vetted herbal plants, etc.
Most of the time, I look at rudimentary solutions - in terms of military technology, for example, I tend to look back to 1940s-1980s era tech because certain items of military technology from those decades might in some cases be more easily reproducible than some of the later examples. Studying how to build rudimentary energy production facilities, or trying to map out the principles of how to build a rocket capable of lifting cargo into the orbit (such as R-7 Semyorka), how to create sustainable space habitats with rudimentary artificial gravity and internal habitable zones, etc. also represent venues that I try to pursue to the best of my ability. I spend hours upon hours on each subject on a daily basis. But I think its not enough.
I won't go into too many details and bore you to death with it. But yeah, I am literally spending every fucking waking hour (in the apparent lack of an actual life, it seems) making preparations for a time of abject crisis and emergency so that, in such a time, I could be of use.
Why am I so obsessed with all of this? Because a storm is coming. The automation revolution will be total, and I believe it will be to the detriment of the proletariat; it won't be simply the industry that will get devastated by this. Eventually, militaries will become fully automated, ranging from autonomous combat drones to autonomous ground units. AI will become ever-present in administrative functions, in military and civil society alike. And who will own all of these incredibly potent productive and military forces, that obey their every command? The bourgeoisie. And what will happen to the proletariat, if no action is taken? It will be pushed aside, now obsolete and at the mercy of the bourgeoisie.Post too long. Click here to view the full text.
